The Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan traditionally took part in the World Halal Summit in Istanbul (Turkey).
World Halal Summit is the world's largest platform for interaction and exchange of experience between government officials, business representatives, as well as scientists and experts from over 80 countries. The event promotes the development of the halal industry and strategic partnerships at all levels.
The Republic of Turkey is a leading investor of Tatarstan, a strategic partner for many years, and day by day we are strengthening our trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural ties.
Like the Republic of Turkey, Tatarstan pays great attention to the development of the halal industry. The Government of Tatarstan has adopted the roadmap for the development of a halal lifestyle, Halal Lifestyle, developed by the Investment Development Agency of the Republic, which affects halal tourism, halal production, fashion, finance, IT and media.
A set of measures is being implemented within the framework of the Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group, which, on behalf of President Vladimir Putin, has been headed by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov since 2014. The plan is aimed at increasing the tourist flow of Muslims, introducing the residents of Tatarstan and the whole country to the halal lifestyle, increasing the turnover of products according to halal standards, increasing the loyalty of residents to Muslim fashion and popularizing Tatarstan halal brands both in Russia and abroad, as well as creating in Tatarstan of the basic financial IT-infrastructure in accordance with the Sharia norms, ”said the head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan Taliya Minullina.
The opening ceremony of the World Halal Summit was marked by cutting the ribbon with the participation of the First Deputy Head of the Investment Development Agency of Tatarstan Insaf Galiev and the Chairman of the Halal Standard Committee under the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Tatarstan Irek Hazrat Ziganshin.
As part of the business program, panel and discussion sessions were held on topics such as Islamic finance, halal products, Islamic tourism, halal medicine, pharmaceuticals and chemistry, as well as halal lifestyle.
On the sidelines of the summit, the agency held negotiations with the President of the World Halal Summit Council, Mr. Yunus Ete, the Vice-President of the World Halal Summit Council, the Assistant Chairman for International Affairs of the Justice and Development Party, Mr. Emre Ete and the project manager for international relations of the World Halal Council Summit by Ms. Ailin Redzhepova, at which the issues of cooperation and participation of the World Halal Summit Council in the XII International Economic Summit "Russia - Islamic World: Kazansummit-2021" and the exhibition "Russian Halal Expo 2021", which is traditionally held as part of the summit, were discussed. also directions of interaction in the investment sphere with Turkish companies.
With the Mayor of Bursa, Mr. Alinur Aktash, issues of strengthening interaction and possible organization of the visit of the business delegation of the city of Bursa to Tatarstan were considered.
Cooperation and participation in the Russia-Islamic World: Kazansummit summit were discussed with the Chairman of the Board of the Halal Accreditation Agency Mr. Zafer Soylu.
On the sidelines of the World Halal Summit, the Agency also held meetings with the delegation of the Republic of Bashkortostan headed by the Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bashkortostan Ainur Akkulov for interregional cooperation, with the Secretary General of the Institute for Standardization and Metrology of Islamic Countries Mr. Ihsan Yuvut - on participation in the Kazan summit and activities in the field of certification of halal products, as well as with the Deputy Chairman of Kartal, Mr. Jihangir Fikri Saatcioglu, on cooperation in the trade and economic sphere (the company carries out activities in the production of flour-grinding equipment).
Negotiations with the Turkish side showed the mutual interest and focus of companies and organizations on strengthening further trade, economic and investment cooperation with Tatarstan.
Following the results of participation in the World Halal Summit, the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan was awarded a commemorative statuette for support and active participation in the event.
